How to play Chicken Road: four difficulty modes and when to cash out

The controls

Everything happens in one panel below the road[2] :

1. Bet amount. Type it or tap a quick bet. The demo accepts 0.01 to 150 (in US dollars); each casino shows its own limits.
2. Difficulty. Easy, Medium, Hard or Hardcore — chosen before the round starts.
3. Play. The chicken steps onto the first lane.
4. Step again or cash out. After every safe lane you choose: the next lane, or the win at the current multiplier.

The rules, as the game states them

• “Your goal is to get through as many lines covers as possible without getting fried. You can withdraw your winnings at any stage of the game.”
• Max win: 10,000 USD; min bet 0.01, max bet 150 (demo figures).
• “Malfunction voids all pays and plays.”

The game doesn’t state the risk of each step as a number — the menu only calls it “Chance of collision”. InOut publishes the RTP, 98%, on its own page[1] .

What each mode pays

The number of lanes and the curve of the multipliers are what separate the modes. We read every cover in the demo from Canada:

• Easy — 24 lanes. Tiny steps: ×1.03, ×1.07, ×1.12. It passes ×2 only at lane 13 (×2.04) and ends at ×19.44 on the golden egg.
• Medium — 22 lanes. ×1.12 on the first cover, ×1.98 by lane 5, ×4.96 by lane 10.
• Hard — 20 lanes. Starts at ×1.23 and passes ×10 at lane 9 (×10.56).
• Hardcore — 15 lanes. ×1.63 on the very first step and ×4.95 on the third. The steepest curve means the highest risk per lane.

When to cash out

There’s no lane that is “right” — every step is a fresh random event, and nothing you did in the last round changes the next one. What you can control is the rule you play by. Three that keep a session readable:

• Pick the exit before you press Play. For example Easy lane 8 (×1.44) or Medium lane 4 (×1.70). Then take it every time.
• Don’t raise the exit after a loss. A longer walk to “win it back” is how a budget disappears.
• Keep the bet flat. Changing the stake after each round turns a simple game into guesswork.

My take

I learned Chicken Road on Medium with a lane-4 exit, and I still think that’s the clearest way in: short rounds, a real multiplier (×1.70), and you see quickly how often the chicken gets fried a step or two later. Hardcore looks exciting on paper, but with ×1.63 on the first cover, most rounds are over before you’ve made a decision.
