Chicken Road 2.0 at a glance
InOut Games released Chicken Road 2.0 on April 15, 2025 and publishes an RTP of 95.5% for it[1] . The rules in the demo describe the goal in one line: “Your goal is to step as many road lines as possible without getting hit by a car. You can withdraw your winnings at any stage of the game.“[2]
The look changes more than the rules. The original is a dark road that ends in a golden egg; 2.0 is a daytime city street with traffic you can see coming — ice-cream trucks and taxis roll down the lanes between the manhole covers.

Easy is gentler than ever. Thirty lanes starting at ×1.01, passing ×2 only at lane 17 (×2.12). Hardcore is steeper at the top: 18 lanes ending at ×3,608,855.25 — far past the 20,000 USD cap, which is what a win actually stops at.

My take
I’d pick the original for the 98% RTP and play 2.0 for variety. 2.0’s Easy mode is the gentlest version of the game — thirty small steps — and that’s a good place to learn exits. But the 2.5-point RTP gap is real money over a long session, so I don’t make 2.0 my default.
